A year of strong momentum, milestone achievements, and continued innovation for Enovis Surgical.
The year 2025 marked a period of strong momentum for Enovis Surgical, with significant milestones and important anniversaries that underscore the robustness of our solutions and our continued commitment to innovation. Below is an overview of the main highlights.
10 Years of the Physica Knee System

In the Knee segment, we celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Physica System. For ten years, the Physica System has been restoring natural knee kinematics, optimizing function, and ensuring precision execution, achieving a remarkable 99.4% survivorship at 5 years. Designed to respect the knee's natural movement and restore function, the system stands out for its precision and long-term reliability. This milestone was accompanied by the reorganization of instrument sets, from four to three: one common set, one tibial set, and one femoral set, alongside the creation of a wide range of dedicated materials showcased at major MedEd events, local initiatives, and national congresses. The campaign also extended to our social media channels, where we continue to highlight the strategic pillars of the Knee BU.
Affinis Short, PRIMA, and SMR Trauma in the Spotlight

For Shoulder, 2025 saw Affinis Short, PRIMA, and SMR Trauma take center stage. Affinis Short reached its 15th anniversary, reaffirming its position as a benchmark solution in shoulder arthroplasty. It is the number one stemless shoulder implant in Australia and the United Kingdom, with over 22,000 implants performed worldwide, market leader in Australia since 2011, and holder of the lowest ten-year revision rate for anatomical total shoulders in the UK’s NJR. Surgeons continue to choose it for its bone-preserving design, consistent outcomes, and long-term performance.
The year 2025 also marked the first full year of the PRIMA System, celebrated with global activities that helped expand its presence. The system is characterized by efficiency, as it is designed to address the majority of cases with a precise and reduced set of instruments. Conceived using advanced 3D-printing technologies and built on a strong clinical heritage, the PRIMA System is composed of the PRIMA TT glenoid and the PRIMA stem. New educational and promotional materials further fostered the development of a growing “PRIMA culture,” which will continue to evolve with additional advancements.
Finally, the SMR System strengthened its role in the treatment of proximal humerus fractures. Thanks to the advanced modularity of the finned reverse humeral body, reliable cementless fixation, and decades of clinical experience, SMR continues to demonstrate its value across a wide range of procedures.

ARVIS: A New Era in Digital Knee Surgery

We achieved significant milestones in Enabling Technologies, marking important progress toward digital surgery. The first ARVIS procedures in Europe were successfully performed in Italy and Germany. In Italy, Dr. Traverso of Habilita Robotics Healthcare was among the first adopters. “I really enjoyed using ARVIS for the surgery. From the start, I found it easy to use and a cost-efficient technology, especially helpful for less experienced surgeons or those performing a high volume of procedures” he stated. “Our scrub nurses also appreciated how quickly it integrates with standard instrumentation, without bulky equipment.” In Germany, at the University of Medicine in Magdeburg, Professor Lohmann immediately recognized the potential of augmented reality. “I'm really convinced that these technologies are giving us a new approach in knee surgery. This is the next level of approaching the knee” he said.
These successful early procedures reinforce the reliability of the system and Enovis' vision of driving innovation in the operating room. With its real-time, zero-footprint guidance, ARVIS™ represents a concrete step toward the broader adoption of wearable technologies in surgical practice.
As 2025 comes to a close, we look ahead with a clear perspective, guided by our exceptional team members around the world who create better together every day. United by shared values, we continue to work toward one common goal - improving lives by developing clinically differentiated solutions that enhance patient outcomes and restore motion for life.
