We’re very pleased to share two major milestones for ARVIS®, our proprietary wearable, self-contained augmented reality (AR) surgical guidance platform.

First of all, what is ARVIS®?

The ARVIS® Augmented Reality System represents the next era of orthopedic technology.

This wearable, self-contained system delivers real-time, hands-free surgical guidance directly to you at the point of care.

Cameras mounted at your viewpoint track reusable markers on the patient to provide accurate navigation guidance for Shoulder, Knee, and Hip arthroplasty.

Arvis® received the CE mark for hip and knee applications

Towards the end of May, ARVIS® received the CE Mark in accordance with EU MDR 2017/745 for both hip and knee applications.

The CE mark for the shoulder is expected soon.

To celebrate, we hosted our first International ARVIS® SkillsLABs in Verona, where leading knee surgeons shared insights, tested applications, and helped to shape the future of AR-guided surgery.

First Arvis® procedure performed outside the US

On May 21st, Dr. Justin Roe of Mater Hospital North Sydney, Australia, successfully performed the first procedure using the ARVIS® Augmented Reality System in combination with the BalanSys Knee System.

This achievement marks a significant step in making smart, wearable AR surgical guidance more accessible across Europe, and we’re excited for what’s ahead.
