Davide Visentin, the new President of Enovis International Surgical, joined the company at the beginning of March, making this the perfect time to get to know him better!
I am Italian and I was born in a little village outside of Verona.
I studied Computer Science at the University of Milan, and soon after, I started my career in the Medical Device industry with Johnson & Johnson, where I had roles of increasing responsibilities at National, European, and Global levels within the orthopedic sectors.
At the beginning, I was focused on developing the arthroscopy market and then progressed to Knees, Hips, and Shoulders.
In 2015, I joined Stryker and spent the following three years accelerating the adoption of robotic surgeries.
In 2018, after having spent 11 years in the UK and 3 years in Amsterdam, I moved to Switzerland to join BD, a leading provider of digitally enabled solutions to managed medications in Hospitals and pharmacies.
In March of this year, I joined Enovis as the leader of the international surgical business and moved back to Italy.
I am married to Nicola Ann and have 2 daughters at university, Freya and Lia.

After a few years away from orthopedics, I was missing the close relationships and interactions with orthopedic surgeons, and when Enovis approached me, I realized that this was a unique opportunity to join a Company at the beginning of an exciting journey of creating value to surgeons and patients.
The combination of DJO, the acquisition of Mathys, and recently of LimaCorporate, in my eyes, created a potentially disruptive new force in the orthopedic market by combining an incredible legacy of innovations and technologies now part of a true global player.
I was really excited about the prospect of building and scaling a company that is investing heavily in acquisitions and new technologies, and wanted to be part of this high-growth trajectory.

My number one priority right now is to get to know as many colleagues as possible, understand the culture of the company, and learn about our amazing products and technologies.
All of this with the opportunity to meet as many surgeons as possible to understand what makes us unique in the market and how we can better drive improved patient outcomes and operating workflow efficiencies.

My free time is mostly dedicated to my family, spending relaxing time with them.
I enjoy cooking, especially outside with my grill and pizza oven.
At the same time, I am trying to do some sports and long hikes to help me stay fit. I love watching International Rugby matches and am a super supporter of our National team.
